Did we mention that Peljesac is the wine capital of Croatia?  With dozens of nearby wineries, including the renowned Dingac and Postup villages right next to Orebic, Peljesac is a wine enthusiasts dream.   

Just a 45 minute ferry ride from Peljesac peninsula is a nature lovers paradise at the National Park Mljet.  Enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking and some beautiful natural sights.

Peljesac has many different beaches.   Like this one named Divna just on the opposite side of the peninsula.   A 20 minute drive from Villa Roza Orebic.

This beautiful newly remodeled winery, Korta Katarina Winery produces premium wines.   Come in for a tasting and tour, it's just a 5 minute walk from Villa Roza.

Orebic has a wide variety of dining options from seafood and fine dining to fast food and bakeries.   Most are within walking distance of Villa Roza such as Restoran Karako and Mimbelli.

Just a 50 minute drive from Orebic lies the town of Ston with it's ancient walls, which are some of the longest in Europe.   Be sure to stop by the dozens of wineries on the way there.


Situated under the mountain St. Ilija, Orebic offers many hiking opportunities.   Climb all 900 meters of St. Ilija for some of the best views around.

One of Croatia's most popular tourist destinations, the ancient town walls of Dubrovnik are a scenic 2 hour drive through Peljesacs's vineyards from Orebic.  Ston is also on the way as well.

While visitng St. Ilija monastery be sure to stop by the cemetary next door.  Orebic had a very developed shipping industry in the 19th century and many captains are buried in this fascinating cemetary that has some of the best views in Orebic.

Did we forget to mention that a 10 minute walk from Villa Roza you can find the worlds best ice cream?   Stop by the family run Oaza to get some fresh homemade ice cream and see if you agree.

Korcula.   Just a short and scenic 15 minute ferry ride from Orebic lies the UNESCO world heritage site of Korcula.  A spectacular day trip.

From Villa Roza take a stroll down the seaside walkway ( Riva ) and enjoy the many 18th and 19th century old stone houses.  Also along the riva, be sure to enjoy the many shops, restaurants and cafes. 

If windsurfing is for you then the nearby village of Viganj offers the best windsurfing in Croatia.   Located on the Peljesac canal the near constant winds provide the perfect setting.
